AWARDS
SCOPE
Having worked with County Contractors on multiple projects, including Montcalm Mayfair and Inhabit Queen’s Gardens and in particular with County’s client representative, Jason Thomas we would highly recommend them. We valued their reliability, clear communication and consistently high standard of delivery. We look forward to our continued partnership at Montcalm Collection.”
A complete transformation, thoughtfully delivered
This landmark project delivered a comprehensive transformation of a prestigious hotel, combining high-spec modernisation with sensitive restoration of its Grade II listed features.
At the heart of the scheme was the complete rebuild of all 165 guest bedrooms, bathrooms, and suites. Each space was carefully reimagined and finished with bespoke furniture, high-quality joinery, and tailored soft furnishings, alongside fully integrated modern technology. Throughout, particular attention was paid to preserving and enhancing the building’s historic character.
The project also introduced a new luxury executive lounge and kitchen, elevating the guest experience with refined, contemporary spaces designed for comfort and exclusivity.

Protecting heritage, enhancing performance
A major upgrade of the building’s infrastructure was undertaken, including the creation of three new MEP plant rooms and the installation of entirely new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services throughout. This was complemented by the addition of a new high-voltage (HV) room, transformer installation, low-voltage (LV) room, building management system (BMS), and comprehensive data infrastructure to support modern operational demands.
Externally, extensive façade repairs and restoration works were carried out, alongside a full roof replacement and lightning protection installation, ensuring both the longevity and safety of the structure.
We were also tasked with the fit-out of a 400 m² pillarless Grand Ballroom, delivering a versatile, high-end events space. This element of the works also included the refurbishment of existing toilets, bringing them in line with the overall standard of the development.
The result is a seamless blend of heritage and innovation—delivering a future-ready hotel while preserving the character and integrity of a historic building in a fantastic location.
