M&B Flood Damage, The Bathampton Mill

Bathampton Mill was severely impacted when Storm Bert caused the River Avon to burst its banks at the end of November, just weeks before the busy Christmas trading period.
Once water levels had receded, County Contractors mobilised quickly to support Mitchells & Butlers in restoring the site and returning it to operation. The scope of works included drying out the building, replacing carpets and timber flooring, full internal redecoration, door replacements, joinery repairs and external landscaping works.
Working to an accelerated programme, our teams completed the recovery and refurbishment works within just three weeks, enabling the restaurant to reopen in time for the Christmas season. Through careful planning, close collaboration and a commitment to delivery, we helped minimise business interruption and restore the venue for one of the most important trading periods of the year.
