Full bedroom refurbishment of 309 bedrooms and corridors, 2 suites and creation of 6 DDA rooms.

The project was completed whilst the hotel remained fully operational, with a programme carefully prepared to ensure 80% of rooms were always available for sale. Sequencing allowed the project to be completed in 42 weeks—18 weeks ahead of the client’s expected delivery programme.

All materials, casegoods and carpets were procured by County Contractors and managed to ensure rooms were handed over 100% defect-free and ready for sale the following day.

Located in Birmingham city centre, close to New Street station, the site had no external storage. All deliveries were managed on a just-in-time basis, with timed deliveries and shared use of the goods lift agreed with the hotel to ensure daily operations were not affected.
