A new retail format for Boots
Boots marked an exciting milestone with the official opening of its brand‑new, 10,415 sq ft state‑of‑the‑art store at Middlebrook Retail Park in Bolton.
County Contractors delivered the retail fit out of a new two-floor edge-of-town store for Boots UK, marking the retailer’s first edge-of-town format featuring a trading mezzanine to increase trading capacity across two floors.
The project created a modern retail and healthcare destination, combining a premium beauty environment on the ground floor with a dedicated healthcare hub on the first floor with a pharmacy, opticians and hearing care.
The ground floor retail space features a full beauty offer, including premium brands such as Dior, Chanel and Lancôme. High-quality fixtures, lighting and finishes were installed to create a luxury beauty shopping experience.
The first floor was developed as a healthcare-focused environment, incorporating new opticians, hearing care services and a fully operational pharmacy. These departments required specialist fit out considerations, including consultation rooms and clinical-grade spaces.
The completed project showcases County Contractors’ expertise in retail fit out, healthcare environments and multi-floor store delivery, helping Boots UK introduce an innovative new edge-of-town store format.
