Hotel Du Vin Bristol Avon Gorge

We were tasked in bringing the guestrooms throughout the historic Avon Gorge Hotel back to their former glory with their unparalleled views of Bristol’s famous Grade I listed Clifton Suspension Bridge.

Working alongside DMA interiors we worked with Hotel du Vin on the delivery of the complete refurbishment of the 78 guest rooms and suites, on a challenging project of a building originally opened in 1896.

The design and subsequent refurbishment pays homage to the existing building’s fabric celebrating the many existing features including original stained-glass windows, Turkish arches and existing tiled floors.

The bedrooms and suites have been built to provide a residential feel: comfortable, relaxing and luxurious. Classic period features are retained yet interpreted in a contemporary manner, providing a timeless interior and intriguing story inspired by the location’s past and present and the Hotel du Vin brand.

The design was recognised as a finalist in the SBID awards 2018
